I received this inquiry about placing exchange students at Arts. I responded to Ashlee and told her I would forward her request along. I'm including her message if you would like to contact her directly.
Thanks,
Ean

Subject: Arts Magnet foreign exchange students
Hi there-
I’m not sure there is a forum for this with your
association, but I am trying to find host families for creative foreign
exchange students. Arts takes a handful of exchange students every year, and I
think it would be great to have Arts alumni volunteer to be host parents to
kids who can go to Arts. I was up at the school today talking to them about it –
I don’t have any specific students right now, but I am sure I could find
a performing or visual arts kid that needs a home pretty quick, and the sooner
I can get them into Arts the better.
Do you have any appropriate association communication tools
for this sort of message? Newsletters, messages boards… whatever. If
you only take paid ads, then please let me know what that may cost. And, of
course, if you do not think this is an appropriate forum than anywhere you
could direct me would be extremely helpful. We’ve got tons of great kids
and just not a lot of volunteer families.
I have attached a basic press release for your review.
Families can choose kids who share their interests, and all students are fully
insured and have their own spending money. The volunteer families provide room
& board.
Thank you for your time-
Kindest regards,
Ashlee
