• Atty Report from Conference Call held 1/12/09
  1. Need to do tax returns for 96-00(partial income info provided) and 00-07 (no income info provided)-Carin is taking this on
  2. Revenue-$748 in 96, $3000 in 97, $300 in 98, $600 in 99. Prior to Jan 1 2000 own no assets. 4.5% charged based on income. 2000-2007 nothing
  3. Still talking to state tax atty still to figure out all unpaid taxes
  4. According to the Texas tax code past officers and directors can be personally liable for past franchise tax issues. Current officers would not be liable.
  5. Fixing old problem and not starting whole new EIN number.
  6. Monies owed: Approx $200 to fix franchise tax issues from past,  Non-profit status fee $750 for revenue over 10K and $300 for less than 10K revenue for next 4yrs, few filing fees with SOS
  7. We will file the following: 501c4-still allows income to be exempt, 1023 and 1st page 1024
  8. Update Bylaws. Take to meeting on Jan 20^th. Salinas will advise on wording, etc.
  9. January 20^th meeting-4:30 committee (Cece, Carin, Juliana) and 6:00 for everyone else

• 2009 Advisory Board reps
• Spring 2009 Alumni event. Memorial Day Weekend. May 22 & 23.
  1. Friday Event-Happy Hour/Mixer at One Arts. Faculty/Student Volleyball game scheduled-Alumni game? School tours?
  2. Saturday. 10am-2pm Master Classes and school tours. Put call on website and have alumni ‘apply’ to teach class. Hold vote. $5-$10 to attend. Need to pay for Security and Custodians ($720- $300 custodian, $420 Security- 2 of each)
  3. Saturday night. Event at Dada. Same set-up as Holiday Party.
